Redd Kross’ Neurotica Gets Expanded Reissue Via Merge

Written by:

Redd Kross’ Neurotica is set for an expanded 35th anniversary edition.

Out June 24th on Merge, the 2xLP reissue will include the original album along with extensive demos. The gatefold reissue will find the original album pressed on translucent turquoise vinyl, while the demos will be pressed on translucent orange vinyl.

Originally put out by Big Time Records in 1987 and produced by ex-Ramones drummer Tommy Erdelyi, Neurotica featured a song about Mackenzie Phillips (“Mackenzie”) and its dreamy sixties pop number “Love Is You” was used in the 1987 film The Allnighter.

Neurotica was the Southern California band’s sophomore album and the follow-up to their 1984 EP Teen Babes From Monsanto.
