It’s nice to see 2017 start off with a little fire.

Our Track of the Day today comes from a new power trio called Easy Target, whose first single “Sorry Love” has all the youthful energy of early Blink-182 and the melodic smarts of Green Day.

Fronted by Charles Pariente and rounded out by drummer Alex Fansel and bassist Niels Sorensen, Easy Target are as tuneful as they are ferocious.

Pariente is an engaging frontman, Fansel pounds mightily away, and Sorensen’s prowling basslines give the song a subtle sting.

With a new album in the works, “Sorry Love” is a glimpse of what’s to come. It’s fast, it’s sharp and it’s loaded with infectious pop-punk hooks.
