In a move that not even the most seasoned music pundit could have seen coming, Tears For Fears have just covered Arcade Fire.
The band posted their take on “Ready To Start” via Soundcloud earlier today and it has already garnered close to 50,000 plays and is expected to double that in a matter of hours.
Refreshingly, Tears For Fears’ interpretation of the song is an inventive dubstep take that reinvigorates the track with new life.
Of the choice to take on Arcade Fire, Tears For Fears wrote on their Facebook page: “Having appreciated artists like Kanye West, Katy Perry, Kimbra, Nas, Gary Jules/Michael Andrews, Adam Lambert & Dizzee Rascal covering & sampling our songs over the past years, we agreed that some reciprocal cross-generational love was in order. We decided to give Arcade Fire a twist of TFF. Enjoy.”
Tears For Fears are currently in the studio working on a new album.
