Genesis’ Phil Collins Announces Comeback Show

Written by:

For a man comfortably living the retired life, in the past few months Phil Collins has been keeping the rumor mill rather busy.

First, he revealed he was writing songs with Adele, then in May the legendary singer played “In The Air Tonight” and “Land Of Confusion” with the middle school band from Miami Country Day School, where his son attends.

Collins confessed to the crowd that he was nervous playing his first show since retiring from live performances almost four years ago.

Around that time, Collins then suggested he’d been considering playing again, both on his own and with his old bandmates in Genesis.

In an interview with the German press by way of the U.K.’s The Guardian, Collins said: “I have started thinking about doing new stuff… some shows again, even with Genesis. Everything is possible. We could tour in Australia and South America. We haven’t been there yet.”

Now Collins has confirmed his first live gig in four years. He will headline the December 6 Dreaming On The Beach Concert at the Fillmore Miami Beach. The show is to support the Little Dreams Foundation and will feature Laura Pausini, Alejandra Guzmán, the Little Dreams band and “special guests.”

We’re wondering who those special guests might be…
